Oklahoma men’s basketball will bring a marquee non-conference matchup to Northeastern Oklahoma when the Sooners host Southern California at BOK Center in downtown Tulsa on Saturday, Dec. 15.
Tickets start as low as just $10 and will go on sale on Friday, May 25, at 10 a.m. CT on BOKCenter.com. OU men’s basketball season ticket holders will have the option to include the game in their package as part of the season ticket renewal period.
“We’re extremely grateful for the support that Tulsa-area fans have given to our program,” said OU head coach Lon Kruger. “The OU alumni and fans in Northeastern Oklahoma have always shown their dedication to the Sooners by traveling to Norman, and we’re excited to return the favor by bringing this marquee matchup to Tulsa. We aim to bring the Sooner basketball experience to BOK Center and create a terrific atmosphere as we take on a talented USC team.”
The Sooners and Trojans will face off in Oklahoma’s third game in Tulsa under Kruger, previously facing the University of Tulsa (2014) and Oral Roberts (2013) in on-campus contests. Oklahoma will be making its second appearance at BOK Center, previously facing Tulsa in 2008 shortly after the building opened.
BOK Center is a 19,199-seat state-of-the-art sports and entertainment venue that opened in fall 2008. The venue was designed to host major concerts, family shows, ice shows, and other world class entertainment. In 2016, BOK Center was named Arena of the Year by the International Entertainment Buyers Association (IEBA).
The Sooners are coming off a trip to the 2018 NCAA Tournament while the Trojans have reached the big dance in two of the past three seasons. Oklahoma defeated USC last season in the Basketball Hall of Fame Classic, besting the Trojans, 85-83, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.
Oklahoma’s full non-conference schedule will be released at a later date.
