Xbox One users can expect a major new update soon.
Microsoft’s Larry Hryb has told fans to expect some big new features on Xbox One.
It’s unclear exactly what the new features are, but based on Major Nelson’s tweet, we should find out soon enough.
“I can’t wait to tell you about the cool new features coming to Xbox One I just had a chance to play around with. In due time though. In due time.”
New features could be anything from virtual reality support to wishlisting.
There’s also speculation that mouse and keyboard support could be added, especially given Microsoft’s recent tweet about the subject.
With mouse and keyboard support yet to be officially implemented on Xbox One, some users are using unofficial adaptors to gain an advantage in shooting games like PUBG.
One fan asked Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra if the company had any plans to block mouse and keyboard adaptors on Xbox One.
He said: “Developers have the choice to use APIs that detect and not allow these. It’s up to them, but the capability is there.”
Ybarra’s reasoning is that mouse and keyboard support can have accessibility benefits.
“We could but there are helpful scenarios with these devices (accessibility for one),” he continued. “Our general approach is to empower the developer to manage their game how they want.”
Hopefully official support will be added soon, especially given the popularity of releases like Battlegrounds.
