Dodge Demon Ad Hilariously Hat Tips Electric Cars

Dodge has released a new ad for the Challenger Demon, giving a nod to the power of electric vehicles using a curious disclaimer.

First noted by Twitter user and EV enthusiast @WiebeWkkr, the ad calls the Dodge “the world’s fastest 0-100-mph production car” despite the fine print that reads “excludes non-mass production vehicles and hybrids/electric.”

The same message also appears on Dodge’s website.

Curiously, a late April Youtube video uploaded by DragTimes showed an 840-horsepower, slick-equipped Demon challenging a Tesla Model S with street tires in a quarter-mile drag race, where the Demon more than held its own, although the uneven specs shared by both vehicles may have forced Dodge’s hand to exalt its electric power.
