Harvest Moon creator’s new game lets you raise a dragon, run a café

Aksys Games is teaming up with Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons creator Yasuhiro Wada for Little Dragons Cafe, a game for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 that combines dragon husbandry with cooking and restaurant management.

Little Dragons Cafe will star a twin brother and sister who work at their mother’s cafe, according to an announcement from Aksys Games. Things get weird when the kids’ mother enters a deep sleep and the two are tasked with raising a dragon in order to wake her from her slumber.

A handful of core systems are at the heart of Little Dragons Cafe, including the care and feeding of your tiny dragon, growing produce, fishing, cooking and cafe management. Players will have to cook meals for their hungry neighbors and aid them in solving their sundry problems. Doing so will raise the kids’ popularity and customers’ happiness.

There’s a lot we don’t know about Little Dragons Cafe, chief among them what it looks like. Aksys has only released a logo and one piece of artwork featuring the game’s main characters.

Little Dragons Cafe has been in development for two years, the publisher said, and will be released sometime this summer. Yasuhiro Wada’s most recent game, Birthdays the Beginning, was released for PC and PS4 in 2017. That game is also coming to Switch in 2018.
